How to Get Admitted or Admit Someone you Know

If you or a loved one are struggling with an eating disorder, recovery is possible with the right treatment. The first step is to call our team at Eating Disorder Solutions. Our admissions line is open 24/7 and is completely confidential. We will ask you a series of questions to determine if we should move forward with treatment at our facility. This in-depth phone screening typically takes about 30 minutes. An Admissions Specialist  will ask about current symptoms and challenges, as well as past treatment history. We’ll want to learn about any external factors including your environment, family, friends, and social support system. If you are calling on behalf of a loved one, we can provide support to get your loved one the treatment they need.

At the time of the pre-admission assessment over the phone, your Admissions Specialist will give you more information about our programs as well as when admission is likely, so you can plan for your treatment to begin.

In order to assess each patient’s medical, psychological and social history, our Clinical Assessment team will conduct a comprehensive assessment prior to admission. This will help our team recommend an appropriate level of care. Eating Disorder Solutions offers three levels of care depending on the severity of the eating disorder: Residential Program, Partial Hospitalization Program, and Intensive Outpatient Program.

During the assessment, you or your loved one will meet with an experienced team of medical professionals. We will ask you questions about your eating disorder and mental health symptoms, your personal strengths and hobbies, struggles and concerns, and collect any vital medical information. This will help us determine the appropriate level of care, as well as an individualized treatment plan of action that’s unique to you.

You may have relationships with other providers you’ve worked with in the past. If this is the case, we would like to work collaboratively with your other doctors and specialists to help you achieve the best possible chance for recovery.

The Evaluation and Assessment Process

An Individualized Treatment Plan Unique to You

During this assessment phase, our Admissions Specialist will get a deeper look at your history and factors that are unique to you including your social support groups. This will help us create an individualized treatment plan that is unique to your needs. Along with our full continuum levels of care, we offer unique therapies including family therapy, group therapy, art therapy, one-on-one therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and more. Each client is encouraged to take an active role in their treatment program. We carefully listen to each individual and seek their input regarding the elective elements of their therapy.

Our multidisciplinary team helps clients develop skills to overcome destructive behavior and thought patterns. We will celebrate your wins, encourage you in times of challenges, and be there through every step of the way throughout your experience. We do not subscribe to a one-size-fits-all eating disorder treatment program. Instead, our multidisciplinary team will guide you through a treatment plan that is completely unique-to-you.
