What Counts as a “Setback” After Treatment Completion
A setback does not mean failure. In the context of recovery, it may include a return of disordered eating behaviors, increased urges that feel unmanageable, emotional destabilization, or difficulty maintaining recovery skills despite ongoing effort. Our team evaluates each situation carefully, looking at clinical needs rather than judgment or blame. The goal is to identify when additional structured support would meaningfully help someone regain stability and confidence in recovery.
Why Recovery Is a Process, Not a Deadline
Healing from an eating disorder takes time, patience, and ongoing self-compassion. Progress can include breakthroughs, plateaus, and moments of struggle. Setting a rigid deadline for recovery can create unnecessary pressure and discourage people from seeking help when they need it most. We view recovery as an evolving process that continues beyond treatment, shaped by growth, learning, and continued support.
Why a Treatment Guarantee Matters in Eating Disorder Recovery
Recovery from an eating disorder is not always linear. Even with strong progress, setbacks can occur, especially during transitions back to daily life. A treatment guarantee matters because it removes fear from those moments. It reassures clients and families that support does not disappear after discharge and that continued care is available if challenges arise. By offering this guarantee, we reinforce that recovery is a process supported over time, not a one-time event.
Why Consecutive Treatment Days Are Required
Consecutive treatment days ensure clinical consistency and therapeutic effectiveness. Eating disorder recovery relies on continuity of care, structured routines, and sustained clinical oversight. Completing treatment days consecutively allows our multidisciplinary team to fully assess progress, adjust treatment plans in real time, and provide uninterrupted support. This structure helps clients build momentum and reduces the risk of fragmented care that can slow recovery.
What Makes Our Treatment Guarantee Different From Other Programs
Many programs emphasize aftercare referrals, but few stand behind their care with a treatment guarantee. Our approach goes beyond check-ins or limited follow-up support. We offer a clear pathway back into structured treatment if a significant setback occurs, reflecting our confidence in the care we provide and our commitment to long-term outcomes. This guarantee is designed to support recovery, not rush it or place pressure on clients to be “perfect.”
Taking the Next Step With Confidence and Support
Choosing treatment is a courageous decision, and knowing support continues afterward can make that step easier. Our treatment guarantee exists to reduce uncertainty and provide reassurance that you are not navigating recovery alone. If you have questions about eligibility, what support looks like after discharge, or how the guarantee works, our admissions team is here to help you understand your options and move forward with confidence.

Treatment Guarantee Glossary
The Treatment Guarantee at Eating Disorder Solutions is a unique commitment to long-term recovery. Understanding the terms associated with this policy can help you understand the full scope of support available to you. Below are key terms discussed on this page:
75+75 Commitment
The core structure of the Treatment Guarantee. The page explains that if a client completes 75 consecutive days of treatment and experiences a significant setback within the first year, they are eligible to return for an additional 75 consecutive days at no cost.
Clinical Consistency
The therapeutic benefit of remaining in treatment without interruption. The page emphasizes that consecutive treatment days are required for the guarantee because this consistency allows the multidisciplinary team to assess progress accurately and adjust treatment plans in real time.
Continuum of Care
The full spectrum of treatment levels offered by the facility. The page notes that clients must complete this full continuum to qualify for the guarantee, ensuring they have received comprehensive support before transitioning back to daily life.
Fragmented Care
Treatment that is interrupted, sporadic, or disconnected. The page warns that fragmented care can slow recovery, which is why the guarantee requires consecutive days to build momentum and ensure therapeutic effectiveness.
Lifelong Alumni Support
The ongoing resources and community connection provided to clients after they discharge. The page lists this alongside the treatment guarantee as a core component of the facility’s commitment to ensuring clients continue to grow and thrive beyond treatment completion.
Recovery Process
The understanding that healing from an eating disorder is an evolving journey, not a rigid timeline. The page contrasts this process with a “deadline,” explaining that setbacks are a normal part of recovery, particularly during transitions back to daily life.
Significant Setback
A clinical relapse or severe return of eating disorder symptoms after treatment completion. The page identifies this as the specific qualifying event that triggers the Treatment Guarantee, allowing alumni to return for further care without financial fear.
