What is your Admission Process Like?

When you arrive at our facility in Dallas, TX, you will be greeted by a compassionate and caring staff member that will walk you through your day and give you a tour of the facility. In order to assess each patient’s medical, psychological and social history, you will meet with many members of our multidisciplinary team. Our Clinical Assessment team will conduct a comprehensive assessment prior to admission in order to determine the appropriate level of care.

What is your Eating Disorder Treatment Philosophy?

First and foremost we believe in treating the entire individual — mind, body, and spirit. Our holistic approach sets us apart from other eating disorder facilities. Eating Disorders often stem from deeply rooted psychological issues. At Eating Disorder Solutions, we work to get to the root of the problem and address the main concerns for the best possible recovery.

Is there a religious component to treatment at Eating Disorder Solutions?

While Eating Disorder Solutions is a non-denominational treatment center, we fully support our client’s practicing their values throughout their treatment program. Our curriculum is rooted in clients identifying and practicing their values as they seek recovery. Furthermore, we offer spiritual therapy that addresses the spiritual components of emotions and health while acknowledging the client’s religious beliefs.

Do you Accept Insurance for Eating Disorder Treatment?

To ease the burden of paying for eating disorder treatment, we accept over 80 major insurance plans such as Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna. To help you receive the care you deserve for your eating disorder, one of our experienced Admissions Specialists can act as a liaison between you and your insurance company while keeping you in the loop throughout the entire process. Our Admissions Specialists can answer any of your questions about deductibles and insurance plans, so you can focus on what’s important — your recovery.

What are your Levels of Care at Eating Disorder Solutions?

Eating Disorder Solutions offers a full continuum of care. As clients progress through our treatment program and become more independent, clients can step down to less supervised programs. OUr full-continuum of treatment and support includes Residential Programs, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient programs. You can learn more about our different programs, here

Not everyone enters treatment through the same level of care. During the initial assessment with our clinical staff, psychologists, and medical professionals, we will assess the client’s symptoms and provide a recommendation on which level of care may be the best fit for their needs. Similarly, the length of treatment will vary greatly depending on specific needs and individual response to treatment.

What Type of Therapies do your Offer during Eating Disorder Treatment?

We are committed to providing evidence-based therapies that are backed by research and positive outcomes for our patients:

  • Nutritional Based Therapy: The client will meet with a registered dietitian to help clients craft meal plans that fully meet their nutritional needs. Nutritionists help those struggling with eating disorders to build a healthy relationship with food.
  • One-on-One Therapy: Our clients have the opportunity to meet with a therapist one-on-one to address personal concerns.
  • Group Therapy: Through group therapy, clients will share their experiences and those who are facing the same concerns will learn coping mechanisms to support each other.
  • Cognitive Therapy:  This type of psychotherapy helps clients recognize their negative thought patterns and to find ways to replace their negative thoughts with positive ones.
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): Individuals learn how to be mindful and how to control their emotions even when they are stressed.

How are Families involved throughout the Treatment Process?

Families play an integral role in their loved ones recovery process. Eating Disorder Solutions has designed an eating disorder treatment program that involves families throughout the process.

The involvement of families will vary based on the needs and treatment plan for each patient, but families are highly encouraged to participate in family therapy. We provide families the tools and resources to support their loved ones following treatment and to help them understand how eating disorders affect the individual.

Do you Offer Ongoing Treatment After Recovery?

Aftercare is an essential part of our treatment program at Eating Disorder Solutions. We prepare for aftercare through every step of the recovery process by providing the best tools and resources for each individual. Additionally, our team will create a comprehensive aftercare plan that also includes group support in the community.
