What Type of Therapies do your Offer during Eating Disorder Treatment?
- Nutritional Based Therapy: The client will meet with a registered dietitian to help clients craft meal plans that fully meet their nutritional needs. Nutritionists help those struggling with eating disorders to build a healthy relationship with food.
- One-on-One Therapy: Our clients have the opportunity to meet with a therapist one-on-one to address personal concerns.
- Group Therapy: Through group therapy, clients will share their experiences and those who are facing the same concerns will learn coping mechanisms to support each other.
- Cognitive Therapy: This type of psychotherapy helps clients recognize their negative thought patterns and to find ways to replace their negative thoughts with positive ones.
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): Individuals learn how to be mindful and how to control their emotions even when they are stressed.
How are Families involved throughout the Treatment Process?
The involvement of families will vary based on the needs and treatment plan for each patient, but families are highly encouraged to participate in family therapy. We provide families the tools and resources to support their loved ones following treatment and to help them understand how eating disorders affect the individual.
