Unika Long, lead nurse, is certified in Intravenous (IV) therapy and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). She completed her education at Concorde Career College, earning a Vocational Nursing License. Currently, she is in the process of returning to school with the aspiration of becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. With a background spanning six years in mental/behavioral health, Unika’s journey began in geriatric psychiatry, and she has predominantly worked in acute psychiatric and chemical dependency settings.
Unika believes seeking help is a natural part of life, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging when one is not okay — an outlook she extends to therapy. Witnessing the progress clients make is a source of fulfillment for her. Unika recognizes the courage it takes to embark on a recovery journey and derives the most joy from assisting individuals through this process.
Beyond her professional life, Unika is a proud mother of two boys. She values spending quality time with her children and creating lasting and meaningful memories together. She’s also attuned with her emotions and feelings, becoming quite the reader, where she enjoys learning new perspectives through poetry.
