If you’re on the go or just wanting a refreshing summer snack, a frozen fruit smoothie will definitely give you the energy and refreshment to keep you going in this Texas heat! I personally enjoy a banana, strawberry smoothie; however, you can add any fruits you enjoy to the smoothie!
Ingredients:
- 1-2 cups strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup plain yogurt, I personally choose vanilla for extra flavor
- ½ cup of orange juice
- 2-3 tablespoons honey for added sweetness
*If you’re not a veggie lover, or maybe your kids aren’t, add a cup of spinach! This is a great way to get your veggies in without even noticing!
Double or even triple the recipe and freeze for a quick, refreshing snack! Looking to add some protein? No worries! I like to add peanut butter, nut butter, chia seeds, or protein powder to my smoothies. The added protein will keep you feeling satisfied and help control blood sugar! If you’re in Texas, like me, we need a refreshing drink in the summer heat! This delicious recipe keeps you satisfied, refreshed, and nourished when you are enjoying time in the sun!
