Strawberry Lemonade recipe

Summer’s nearly here. And what’s more refreshing than a fresh-squeezed lemonade? 

Try this berry twist on a classic for your next summer gathering.

Strawberry Lemonade

-½ lb fresh strawberries

-1.5 cups granulated sugar

-5 cups water (divided)

-1.5 cups fresh-squeezed lemon juice


  1. Use a blender or food processor to puree the strawberries. Strain them through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the seeds;
  2. In a small saucepan, stir together sugar and 2 cups of water over medium heat;
  3. Bringing water to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature;
  4. Strain lemon juice through strainer into 2-quart pitcher. Add the simple syrup and pureed strawberries, and 2.5 cups of water, and stir to combine. Refrigerate until cold.
  5. Serve with ice.
