Why Choose Outpatient Treatment Instead of a Higher Level of Care?
Outpatient care works well for individuals with stable medical status and a supportive home environment. It allows continued work, school, or family involvement during treatment.
Who Is a Good Fit for Outpatient Eating Disorder Treatment?
Outpatient care is best for individuals who are medically stable and able to manage meals and safety outside of sessions. A clinical assessment helps determine appropriateness.
Can I Start Treatment at the Outpatient Level?
In some cases, yes. Admissions staff evaluate medical and behavioral factors to determine the safest starting point.
What Happens During Outpatient Sessions?
Outpatient treatment typically includes individual therapy, nutritional counseling, and possibly group therapy. Sessions focus on skill-building, accountability, and emotional processing.
Is Nutrition Support Included in Outpatient Care?
Yes. Nutritional therapy remains an important part of outpatient treatment to support physical stability and food flexibility.
What If My Symptoms Worsen During Outpatient Treatment?
If symptoms increase, your care team may recommend stepping up to a higher level of care. Treatment plans are adjusted as needed.
How Can I Learn More About Outpatient Treatment Options?
You can speak with admissions to discuss symptoms, goals, and appropriate next steps.
